I Will See You
I will see you on the morrow,
I will not succumb to sorrow.
We will meet in eternity,
And bask in each others company.
I will see you on the morrow,
No, it may be longer than tomorrow,
For it is not my turn;
I still have much to learn.
So I will see you on the morrow,
Though it will not be tomorrow.
I'll Be Me
I'll be me tomorrow,
How about you?
Will you be someone else,
Or just yourself?
I used to know
Someone who knew
A person who created a false
Identity and suppressed herself.
I don't think I'd stoop that low
As to lie to you
About who I am, or else
I wouldn't be ... myself.
I'll be me today and tomorrow,
What about you?
Will you chance to lose
The knowledge of self?
I'll be me tomorrow,
You should be you too.
That way we can help everyone else
Find themselves anew.
Procrastination
It can wait, but
it can't.
It'll be done tomorrow, but
will it?
It cannot wait, so
it won't.
It should be done today, so
it will be done;
later.
Ferret Play
(I was a bit bored ...)
Baby, Baby
Play, play, play
I watch as you play all day.
With a skip and a leap,
And a jump, jump jump;
A nip at the heel
Earns you a boot at the rump.
With a chitter and a hop,
You suddenly stop.
Motionless ... asleep!
Not peeping a single peep!
That cannot be all!
A ball rolls down the hall.
You awake with a start.
Off you go - like a dart!
Play, play, play
All day, day, day.
I wish
*I'm not sure when I wrote this, but I know I was young. I'm guessing it was around the
age of 6, because I still thought there was hope for the world back then. To see the world through a childs eyes ...
Twinkle, Twinkle little star,
Please hear this wish I wish from afar.
I wish this wish I say to you;
I wish that everyone's wish comes true.
I wish that puppy gets his bone;
I wish the teen gets her phone.
I wish he and she find eachother;
I wish they may find their mother.
I wish they can keep their house;
I wish the girl finds her mouse.
Why do I wish such a thing?
Why don't I wish for a ring or nice something?
Because maybe, little star, if everyone's wish comes true,
The world would become beautiful and new.
And that is the wish I wish to you.
No place to fly
Tell the tale of the wicked man.
Tell the tale of the wicked day;
When the sun came to the earth's great plain
And burned it all away.
With a light of white,
And a flame so true;
We tried to fight,
But there was naught we could do.
With a fire in his eye,
And a grin on his face,
He made my world die
And left me with no place;
To live, to rise, to fly.
My Everything
You mean everything to me.
You are my life and my death.
When I inhale, it is you that I breathe.
Without you, my life is meaningless.
I need no sunlight;
For it is you who lights my path.
You are my anchor to this world
When darkness engulfs me.
Chaos is nothing compared to
The power that you give me.
You make me feel alive,
Even as parts of me wither and die.
I would be nothing without you.
I put myself at your mercy,
And stay there gladly;
Though it will bring my death;
My undoing
I bask in eternal bliss.
